Karen Millen OBE

British fashion designer and Founder

Karen Millen is a name synonymous with fashion and entrepreneurship. Starting her journey in 1981 with just a £100 loan, Karen transformed her vision into a global fashion empire, creating iconic designs loved by celebrities and even members of the British Royal Family. By 2004, after expanding her brand to 130 standalone stores worldwide, Karen sold the business and shifted her focus towards philanthropy and family.

Recognized for her immense contribution to British fashion, Karen was awarded an OBE in 2007. She continued to inspire through her charitable endeavors, including the founding of a school in South Africa and co-founding Teens Unite, which supports young people facing life-limiting illnesses.

Karen’s creativity extends beyond fashion; she founded Homemonger LTD, an online retail brand offering carefully curated homeware products sourced globally. This year, Karen returned to fashion with a special 30-piece collection titled “The Founder,” launched under the Karen Millen brand.
