A pioneering figure in Saudi Arabia’s cultural and educational landscape, Dr. Suzan Alyahya has been instrumental in shaping the nation’s creative identity through her leadership at Wrth, the first-of-its-kind Royal Institute of Traditional Arts. She oversaw its development from conception to implementation, ensuring that Saudi heritage and craftsmanship continue to thrive through innovation and education.

Before leading Wrth, Dr. Alyahya served as Vice Dean of the College of Arts and Design and Director of Partnerships and Development at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Her academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado, alongside master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Art Education from King Saud University and PNU.

Through her work, Dr. Suzan champions the preservation of Saudi traditional arts as a living legacy — connecting the past with a visionary future.
