Dr. Virginia Rivera is an award-winning social entrepreneur, visionary leader, and advocate for women’s economic empowerment. With more than two decades of experience in business coaching, corporate strategy, and global development, she has built an international career dedicated to creating opportunities for women and underserved communities.
She is a Member of the Global Advisory Board of G100 for the Communication & Advocacy Wing and, as of 2024, proudly serves as the Puerto Rico Director of Creative Women Platform, a global initiative uniting women leaders across cultures to advance innovation, equity, and collaboration.
As Vice President of the Peeyush Group of Companies and Trust in India, Dr. Rivera oversees the diversification process and leads transformative projects, including Mahila Udyami, a pioneering global hub that equips rural women with entrepreneurial, research and innovation in sustainability and financial skills. She also co-founded Mujer Emprende Latina, an international NGO and movement empowering more than 3,000 Latina women to achieve financial autonomy, and founded SOLApreneurs LLC, a platform amplifying entrepreneurial voices through media, coaching, and storytelling.
Her educational initiatives extend to children’s financial education programs, highlighting her conviction that empowerment begins at an early age. As President of World Education Policy (WEP), she continues to embody her guiding belief that “education can break barriers and build a more equitable world.”
Dr. Rivera has been honored with the Global Women Leadership Award (2023) and Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship (2022). A sought-after international speaker, she has shared her insights at the Women Economic Forum, the Global Entrepreneurship & Edupreneurship Festival, and We Mean Business Summit amongst leadership forums worldwide. Through her work, she inspires communities to not only imagine but actively create a future of inclusion, equity, and opportunity.
