Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki is a distinguished scholar, lawyer, and human rights expert with a PhD in European Studies and Politics. She has taught International Relations at Istanbul Kültür University, co-founded the Global Political Trends Center, and currently serves as Associate Professor at BISLA and Chairwoman of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Slovakia.

She is also a member of the Slovak Government’s Council for Human Rights, National Minorities, and Gender Equality, and a recognised voice on Turkey, the Middle East, and human rights, having spoken at global platforms including the United Nations, European Parliament, Brookings, and LSE.

A respected academic and advocate, Dr. Tiryaki continues to shape international dialogue on human rights, democracy, and global governance.
